All the main sights around town are within walking distance, and this small hotel has a lovely location. The rooms are very clean and comfortable for a night or two. Staff helped us with our bags and dogs, and they took our two pets without any trouble or extra charge. I'd happily return. It's a great little place if you prefer something less impersonal than a chain.

It's right in the city centre, with nice food and well-priced rooms. The old building is in very good condition, but there's no wheelchair access or elevator. The bed could be better, too, as the mattress wasn't very comfortable.

The waiter was disrespectful and the service was horrible. When I asked about a drink, he looked surprised and said, "you don't know what this is?" He couldn't explain it, and then refused to change it, saying, "you already tried it." I won't be coming back.

There were lots of students around. It's a nice deal: buy one beer and get one tapas. The food isn't the best, but the prices are fair.

You can go up the tower for just two euros, and the church is open for most of the day. It's a straightforward place to visit, with audio guides available, though the staff don't speak English. Mass is held daily at 10:00 am and 7:30 pm, plus at 1:00 pm during the school year. The body of San Diego de Alcala is in the second alcove, and you can also see the statue of Alcala's patroness, Nuestra Senora del Val.
