The town seems almost deserted when you first arrive, since it’s so small and quiet up in the mountains. That setting is exactly what makes the evenings so peaceful, and the rooms are spacious, lovely, and clean. The staff are incredibly thoughtful and kind, too. It’s not somewhere to go for loud music and wild parties, but if you want to feel like you’re staying with family in the Spanish countryside, this is absolutely the place. I just wish more people knew about it.

I keep coming back every year. The hotel sits in a small settlement surrounded by gorgeous green countryside, and inside it’s clean and well looked after. There’s a warm, family feel, the staff are lovely and ready to help however they can, and the food is excellent. I recommend it warmly.

The rooms are magnificent, and each one has its own atmosphere. The decor makes you feel at home straight away, with care from the owners showing in every detail. I love La Font d'Alcalah and this authentic part of Spain. The food is delicious, whatever you choose from the à la carte menu. Since La Font d'Alcalah is out in the countryside, you’ll need a car or bicycle to get there, but it’s well worth the visit if you want to experience the real Spanish way of life.

There’s parking at the village entrance, then it’s a short walk to the hotel. Once there, you’ll find a lovely historic building in a quiet mountain setting, with friendly staff and great food. It made for a peaceful stay, and I’ll be back.
