Las Lomillas Reserva Ecológica

The setting is idyllic, and the location, concept, and quiet are all ideal. But the drive in is about 8 kilometers on a road in very poor shape. I understand it’s a nature reserve, though even a dirt road could be improved. Low-clearance cars can’t make it through. Cleanliness also needs attention. The house seems to be cleaned when you leave, but not while you’re back, which stands out even more in the middle of nature. Some cobwebs looked like they’d been there a long time. The pool was poorly maintained too, with too little chlorine and algae developing. There weren’t enough kitchen items, so we were constantly washing things, and the pans and other cookware that were there need replacing. Some showers were corroded from damp, clearly after a long period without upkeep. Even on its highest setting, the fridge didn’t cool enough. The mosquito nets were torn, and the sofa smelled of smoke, so a cover would help. These details kept the stay from being perfect. The place is idyllic, and I think the fixes are small and easy, which would make it unbeatable.

The setting is beautiful and the experience felt unique. The house is comfortable for eight people, well equipped, and has lovely views. Service was excellent, and the dogs were adorable. We’ll be back!

The house had everything we wanted for comfort, cleanliness, layout, and amenities. Javier, the owner, was friendly and professional. With such an idyllic location and beautiful surroundings, it was the best place we’ve found for getting immersed in nature and making unforgettable memories with friends or family. We can’t wait to return. It was a wonderful experience.
