The water failure was the last straw: a leak left us without water from noon until 9 pm, and we had to call several times before anyone acted. The agency tried to help, but the owner never got in touch or seemed concerned. We arrived Friday with children and babies to a freezing house. It’s huge and clearly needs the heating running well ahead of guests, but the temperature was almost indecent. The bedrooms were large and icy, with single beds pushed together and tiny duvets. We piled on spare blankets and shoved the beds against radiators. There was barely enough firewood, so we had to buy more in another town. The photos don’t show what the place is actually like. It looks like an old village house, not the dream country home advertised. The bathrooms are overdone, the showers filthy, and the screens wouldn’t close. Toilet seats were broken, there were no radiators, and only a few rooms had small heaters above the doors. Showering in flip-flops felt necessary. We won’t return. I hope the photos are updated so app users can see the condition before booking. I especially wouldn’t recommend staying here in winter.

The courtyard is the best part, with a pool, ping-pong, foosball, darts, a bar, a huge kitchen and a barbecue. There’s plenty to keep a big group busy. The house is so enormous you can spend days discovering rooms you hadn’t found yet 😂. Just be aware that if everyone needs a shower, apparently only the first two get hot water. That kind of detail can really matter.

There’s plenty of room for the kids, and the house has two terraces, but it’s nothing special otherwise. The company was the bigger letdown. The photos show board games and hammocks by the pool that aren’t there. The pool was dirty and leaking, the house wasn’t very clean, and nobody even answered when we got in touch. Incredibly negligent.

We had a lovely family get-together here. Everyone had room and felt comfortable, and there was what we needed to enjoy ourselves. The garden and barbecue were great too.

We picked this place because we wanted a quiet area, and it suited us perfectly. There are several terraces, including one with a barbecue and another with a pool. The pool was out of season while we were there, so we couldn’t use it, but we’ll come back and try it next time.
