Everything was beautiful and clean, from the room and bathroom to the floors. It’s a lovely little hotel, with an interior and layout unlike anything I’ve seen before.

The service was amazing, and the rooms were spotless and nicely decorated.

The room and courtyard have lots of thoughtful details, and the hostel has a nice atmosphere. My main problem was the heat: the air conditioning was broken, so the room got far too hot, and the fan just pushed the warm air around. I could open the window onto the courtyard, but people smoked right below it until late. Reception lists a fine for smoking there, though I’m not sure how that can be enforced when the host isn’t around. The host wasn’t always on site, so I had to arrange a check-in time.

It was very, very clean, but the room was tiny and right by the hotel entrance. The bed was small, too, and there was barely room to move without feeling like I had to ask permission. With all the conversations carrying in from the entrance hall, there was no privacy.

Everything was clean and in order, and the rooms themselves are generally fine. But the extra beds are impossible to sleep on. I think it’s shameful that they offer them.
