Casa Sabina

We paid the €900 for two nights straight away, but after our New Year's Eve stay with friends, the deposit wasn't returned for several days, despite what had been agreed. We cleaned the house before leaving in the morning, yet money was still taken out because a set of towels was said to be missing. That left a really bad feeling. If you choose Casa Sabina in Alcalalí, ask for an inventory beforehand in case you're later accused of taking something and charged for it. I'd look at other places to stay.

The house was clean and in good condition, though a few of us found the beds and pillows too soft to sleep comfortably. The walls are thin as well, so noise carries from inside and outside. We were four couples and chose it for the separate bedrooms, but it was even larger than expected, with extra beds in one room, and getting a crib was no problem. It has three full bathrooms, a huge living room and a kitchen equipped with utensils and appliances for more than ten people. The garden, terraces, barbecue and games room were especially useful. The village is small, with little to do beyond walks and hikes, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants, and other places of interest are close by.

A comfortable, cozy place with plenty of space. Well equipped and practical.
