Apartamentos Fuente Vilda

We came in July and again in September, and loved both stays. The cottage is peaceful, very fairly priced, and the owners are so friendly. There's air conditioning, mosquito nets, mountain views, and fruit trees, all especially welcome in summer. It has everything you need day to day, from cookware and cutlery to shower gel, shampoo, fresh towels and sheets, kitchen towels, and dish soap. There's also a washing machine, ceramic hob, barbecue, ping-pong table, and more. Dogs are welcome too. We'll definitely return, and highly recommend it.

I always check pet rules before booking, and I'm glad I asked this time. The listing didn't say dogs couldn't be left alone indoors, but the owner told me they had to stay in a garden kennel, even in the middle of summer or winter. That condition wasn't in the description. They call the place pet-friendly and charge extra, yet you can't fully use the facilities. If I can't leave my dog while I go out to eat or take care of something, that doesn't feel pet-friendly. I can't expect my dog to stay outside with me all day in July. The rule seems completely unreasonable. Better to not allow pets than to allow them only with conditions added afterward. If I had gone, my dog would not have stayed in that kennel.

The small house was beautiful, cozy, and surprisingly spacious. It was very clean, with a little garden outside, and the owner was so friendly. We loved it and will definitely come back.

A good-value wooden cottage on the edge of town, just right for a weekend away. The porch is cozy, and there's a barbecue.
