We’ve stayed here several times and it’s never let us down. The location is easy to find, with parking right in front of the hotel. The meals are excellent, and so is breakfast. With five stars all around, what more can I say?

The food was quite good and very reasonably priced. The male waiter was especially attentive and polite, bravo! Reception could use some improvement. (8/11/23)

I keep coming back for the restaurant’s inventive dishes and enjoyable dining experience. There’s a great choice, and the prices are reasonable.

We really enjoyed drinks in the cafeteria, including local beers made with acorns. Dinner was good too, with a menu and wines we liked. The rooms were spacious, quiet, warm, and well furnished, and the shower was amazing. We spent two nights at this lovely 4 star hotel or hospedería, built around a former convent and factory. It’s just a 2 minute walk from the city centre of Alcántara, and you can quickly reach the Conventual, main square, churches, and Roman bridge. We drove, since there’s plenty of parking in the town centre, but walking is also an option. The staff were helpful and attentive. They gave us advice on what to see in Alcántara and nearby, explained how to get there, and even booked a guided visit to the Conventual. I highly recommend that visit. Thanks for an unforgettable stay!

A beautiful place in a historic location. It was clean, not too expensive, and the air conditioning worked great. The food was very good too.
