Puerta de Alcaraz

Ramón made the booking and arrival easy, explaining all the details and even letting us check out an hour late. The price was good for a holiday weekend, and the quiet town and location were perfect for a few days away for my birthday over All Saints' Day. The apartment had what we needed, and that hot tub was super comfortable. We loved the place and would stay again if we were nearby. There were a few drawbacks. It was very cold when we arrived, and the whole place stayed chilly until we turned on the radiators one by one. The difference was clear the next night. The bathroom and shower are both very cramped. We also got the impression the floor hadn't been swept. Ramón told us there'd been a bathroom leak a few days earlier and they hadn't had time to fix it. We appreciated him letting us know, though it probably should have been in the listing or mentioned beforehand.

A nice place to unwind for a few days, and the jacuzzi was really good. There was no washer or dryer, though, and the sofa was tiny and extremely uncomfortable. When we arrived, the water was only 15°C, so we couldn't use it until the next day. We also got to use the spa at the farmhouses. It's very nice, but badly neglected and the hygiene left a lot to be desired. Everything else was fine.

The owner and staff were very helpful. We had a problem with the sheets and called at 11 pm, but they sorted it out within 20 minutes. The jacuzzi and location were the best parts. A good house overall.

We'd definitely come back to this excellent country house. The layout works well, the rustic decor is beautiful, and it has both a whirlpool bath and a shower. They've thought of every detail, so I'd highly recommend it.
