The central location is a plus, and having a garage for 15€/ day is another. That’s about it. I booked a superior room with a balcony, but got a ground-floor room facing the street, with French windows opening onto the pavement. We couldn’t open them. There was no staff around except one man on duty at 19:00, and when we found the kettle didn’t work, nobody else was in the building. For a boutique hotel, I expected comfort and personal service, and didn’t get either. The room was spacious but simply furnished with IKEA pieces, with no wardrobe or shelves for clothes, just coat hangers beside the shelf with the kettle. There were no bottles of water, only what was in the minibar.

Gemma made us feel welcome from the start. She was cheerful, kind, and helpful, and the service was really good. The hotel itself is a comfortable, clean old house that’s been fully renovated. It’s right in the town center, within walking distance of all the important sites.

Casa del Médico is a real find. The rooms and shared areas have been renovated with care, and the staff were helpful throughout. Gema was especially kind and helped us enjoy a wonderful breakfast. I don’t often recommend places, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this one.
