Casa Malferit

We left in the car despite having a reservation. I wasn't willing to stay after the man working there questioned us and stopped us from sleeping in a double bed. He said those beds were for a man and a woman, and that he'd change it if we were two men. I've never come across such open homophobia or such disrespect at a place to stay. Interfering in a gay couple's private life like that is despicable. I don't mind losing the money, but I wasn't going to sleep in that hovel. One star is the lowest rating I can give.

At 11 pm, four of us were left without anywhere to sleep, and he made no effort to help. We'd booked and paid for two rooms two weeks earlier, but he first claimed there was no reservation. Once we showed proof, he admitted he'd booked it twice, apparently while intoxicated.

The service was so welcoming, it felt like being at home. It's a lovely spot to unwind, with routes such as Coveta de les Tres Creus to explore. Safari Park and Castells de Guadalest are nearby too.

We arrived after booking and paying, only to be told by the owner that there were no rooms. Now I'm trying to get my reservation refunded, and he says he isn't responsible. What nerve. I had to keep searching for a hotel at midnight. I don't recommend it.
