With its lovely garden, mountain views and a good-sized pool, this is a beautiful and rather unusual place to stay.

Between the quiet and the sensual pleasure of the region, I had a dream holiday here. It's a unique place, full of charm, and a lovely base for visiting the area.

I've travelled around the world, and nowhere else has felt quite so special or magical. Each room takes you to another time and place, with a glimpse of past or exotic worlds. The hotel is wonderfully peaceful, and I'd recommend staying a few days to rest. Ragnar is a discreet, efficient host who looks after the hotel and its guests. La Riola wouldn't be the same without him. A basic restaurant service would make the place even better. It's a shame more people don't know about this hidden "Shangri-La of Alicante". I found it by chance and will keep returning. Congratulations to everyone who imagined, created and maintains it. Absolutely recommended.

My family has made incredible memories at this magical estate. The garden is breathtaking, the pool is fantastic, and the setting is splendidly quiet. The owners are incredibly kind, and Raky is welcoming and charming, as well as an excellent cook. It's a sublime, exceptional place we'll never forget.
