Caprice Playa de Alcudia Apartments

The views and setting are beautiful, but we were really disappointed with the hotel. We found rust on the toilet seat, stains on the bathroom walls, hair in the shower and a thick layer of dust on the AC, even though the unit looked clean at first. My partner and I both got sick after dust from the AC blew on us night after night. The balcony door lock was badly rusted and snapped shut, leaving us stuck outside. Two friends had to pull from indoors before it finally opened. That felt like a serious safety issue. There’s no front desk after 4pm, so there was nobody around to help if something went wrong. Check-in and replacement keys are handled at an outdoor kiosk. It only asks for your last name and room number to issue another key, which didn’t feel secure. Given what we paid, especially with surge pricing, the room’s condition and lack of support were unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, despite the lovely location.

The nights have been quiet and cozy, and we’re only halfway through our honeymoon stay. Walking out the back door puts us about 40 meters from the beach. Check-in was hassle-free, and Miguel and the staff have been professional, welcoming and wonderful. We’re sure we picked the right place for us. Amazing spot, especially for families with children or anyone who isn’t looking to party. Highly recommend.

We spent a couple of great weeks in Alcúdia and stayed here the whole time. The beach really is right there, and the stretch by Ferrer Lime has a nice feel without getting too busy. There’s some lovely shade from trees at the back of the beach, too. Everyone on staff we met was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, and while the kitchenette was basic, it had everything we needed on holiday. I’d happily stay again.

The only real drawback was having nowhere to rinse the sand off before going back into the room. Otherwise, it was a comfortable stay, with daily room cleaning and fresh towels. There’s a coffee machine, small bar fridge and a few cooking items. The rooms are spacious and have what you need for a beachfront stay. Alcudia beach is just 50 metres away. Check-in was easy at the machine outside the main entrance, which also gives you the key cards. When the concierge was there, we found the service really attentive. This was our second time in Alcudia, though at a different apartment complex before.
