The staff made the stay especially easy: everyone was welcoming, and requests were handled quickly. Our apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean, with basic cooking gear including a microwave, kettle, stove, pan, pots, plates and cutlery. Rooms were cleaned several times weekly, or every day with Sky Selection, and the whole place felt tidy. For the price, it was very good value, and I thought the Sky Selection package was well worth it. We were there in May 2026 on an all-inclusive plan. The hotel sits beside a quiet lake with a mountain view and lovely sunsets. There were some mosquitoes, though not many, and the beach was just across the road, about a three-minute walk away. Noise was generally low, apart from the courtyard entertainment stage between 8 and 10 p.m. The all-inclusive meals were excellent, with plenty of variety and something different each day. Dishes were replenished promptly. My one real complaint was that breakfast had no vegetables, although there was a decent choice of other food and fruit. One thing to know: the website photos are out of date. The indoor pool has moved to the tennis courts north of the main building. The new pool is excellent and well equipped, with its own bar.

We had a great stay and hope to come back. The location is peaceful, with the beach literally a couple of minutes away, and our room looked over the lake. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were consistently pleasant and helpful. We booked B&B, but after our room was upgraded to an apartment, self-catering was an option too. We were also very kindly given dinner free that evening. Breakfast had a good range, and they made omelettes and pancakes to order. From 9 p.m. there was varied entertainment, from acrobatics to singers.

Our daughter was nearly three, and this was her first trip abroad. Viva Eden Lago turned out to be a lovely choice for all of us. The hotel works well for young families without making the atmosphere unpleasant for adults. The renovated children's swim and play area was a big hit, especially the bouncy slide and toddler splash section. Having a separate adult pool elsewhere on site was a nice balance. The beach is beautiful and only a couple of minutes away on foot. Meals were varied and good, with local dishes such as Serrano ham, queso manchego, fideua and paella, plus familiar choices like chips and pizza for kids. Allergy information was inconsistent at times, though management took our concerns seriously, and hopefully the restaurant team can learn from that. Our room was cleaned to a very high standard, and the hotel was immaculate. Thanks to Toni, Sofia, Ali, Rosa, David, Andrea and Emilie. The staff in general were friendly and helpful, and reception handled issues quickly and courteously. Jhoanna at the pool bar was attentive and lovely, and let me practise my Spanish. The Animation team brought plenty of energy. Our daughter was too shy to join the daily games, but a staff member whose name I don't know still gave her a medal on our last night. The Pirate Disco was always a favourite. It was a wonderful trip, thanks to everyone at Viva Eden Lago.

Our group had a really happy week here, from our little girl right through to her parents and grandparents. The lakefront setting is lovely, and the beautiful beaches are close by. Families with children will find plenty of activities, and the animation team was fantastic with both kids and adults. We also enjoyed the food, with a different themed dinner each night. What stood out most was how kind and helpful the staff were. Sending hugs and greetings to the ladies in the restaurant!

We came as a big family with four children, including baby twins, and booked two apartments. They suited us well, had views over the water, and the hotel and local taxis were very accommodating with our group. We had no mosquito trouble by the lake, though we brought spray and candles just in case, which may have helped. The food was a real highlight. Although there’s one main restaurant, we ate there for nine of our ten nights and never got tired of it. It was among the best hotel food I’ve had. The staff were tireless and cheerful. A big thanks to Esteve at the sports bar, Paula/Paulina, Rosa, the cleaning team, chefs and restaurant staff. The pools cater to different ages, with a kids' pool and splash pool, a proper swimming pool and a hot tub. The main pool was warm even during the cooler first few days. The kids enjoyed the club, painted T-shirts, and climbed the hill/mountain opposite the hotel with Rosa and the team. They were just as happy making friends and splashing around. We chose Eden Lago after a wonderful stay at Viva Cala Mesquida in 2022. We wanted somewhere in the Viva family where a car wasn't essential. We love Alcudia for its lively resort feel, old town, harbour and shallow family beaches, where the water stays shallow for tens of metres. We got such a good deal that I wondered if there was a catch, but the holiday felt five-star to us despite the hotel's official four-star rating. We usually try somewhere new each year, but I'd happily return next year. The harbour is a bit of a walk along the main road with a pram, but we enjoyed the stroll, and there's a great beach nearby. A short walk to the left is a little deli, handy for a light lunch if you're on Half Board. About ten minutes to the right is a Super Mario soft play place that felt like a hidden gem. The kids begged to go three nights in a row, and adults can sit with drinks while they play. We had an amazing stay and made another set of lovely family memories with Viva hotels. Highly recommend.
