Fonda Llabres Hostal Boutique

Fonda Llabrés is right in the heart of Alcúdia old town, which we much preferred to nearby Port d'Alcúdia. My wife and I had a very enjoyable seven-night stay last week. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely outside terrace, and surprisingly quiet for such a central spot. Rafael and Nicole handled our booking and questions, Clara looked after our room, I hope I have her name right, and the restaurant staff were all friendly, personal and helpful. Breakfast was good, and we had dinner there most nights. The pasta and pizza are particularly good value, and the restaurant is a great place to watch people. Highly recommended for couples or families wanting authentic, quiet, locally owned accommodation in Alcúdia. Thank you!

The rooms were very clean, and there are lovely communal areas. The location is ideal, with everything less than a five-minute walk away and incredible restaurants right nearby. We had a great stay. One thing to know: despite what the website/booking.com says, the hotel doesn't have free parking. We chose it specifically because we thought it did. The friendly woman at reception suggested a couple of car parks within a five-minute walk. It wasn't a problem once we knew, but I wish we'd been told before arriving. We tried navigating the extremely narrow streets in our hire car, and I wouldn't want to do that again. Much of the old town centre is pedestrianised.

We arrived after 2am and check-in was incredibly easy, which makes this ideal for late arrivals. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, and even arranged an airport taxi for us at short notice. The manager walked us to the pickup spot. Our room was fantastic, with a large comfortable bed, working TV, spacious bathroom and great rainfall shower. It was cleaned daily. I'd recommend booking a balcony room: ours had a beautiful view over old town alcudia, and we sat outside looking over it each day. Big windows brought in lots of lovely daylight, with shutters for nighttime. The hotel sits in the middle of the old town, surrounded by a lively community and plenty of good restaurants, bars and cafes. The roof terrace was the highlight, with brilliant views across alcudia and the surrounding towns, plus a mountain backdrop. We spent every evening there having pre-dinner cocktails, always delicious and really well prepared and presented. I'd highly recommend this hotel!!!

The rooftop bar has stunning, unusual views over the old town, and we couldn't believe this hidden gem wasn't packed. We just bought a drink in the ground-floor cafe and took the lift to the top. It's a must-visit, and seems under-advertised since it still isn't that busy. Make the most of it before there's a queue out the door!
