Hotel Ivory Playa Sports & Spa

The animation team was a big hit with my kids, and we all loved the shows and events. The room was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. With the beach only a 2 minutes walk away, the location was perfect. My family and I loved everything about our stay. Thank you for a wonderful time!

We’ve been returning every year since our first visit in 2017, and this is still our favourite place to stay. It’s right next to a beautiful beach, with a calm, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff always go out of their way to help. Mr Francisco has become a dear friend over the years. He greets us with such warmth and genuine care, and he’s a big reason we keep coming back. The Ivory Playa Hotel means a lot to my family and holds so many happy memories. It’s wonderful for families, and we couldn’t recommend it more. We’re already looking forward to next time.

There was mould throughout the room, and I’d consider it a major problem, potentially dangerous for someone with asthma or a related issue. The bathroom has no extraction, just a humidifier that fills twice a day because so much moisture stays in the air after a shower. There were hidden extras too. We were charged 20 euro for a cot we hadn’t requested and our son didn’t use. Late checkout was quoted at 70 euro even though the room hadn’t been rebooked. At breakfast, we were told it was “not possible” to fill the children’s water bottles. Really, denying children a drink of water? At the pool bar, we were told there was no ice cream for kids with the kids menu, though ice cream was served in the dining room every evening. We stayed five nights. When we asked reception to change the sheets because most of the family had bites, there was confusion over one day when the rooms hadn’t been serviced. Attention to detail was lacking, and the attitude that customers can be treated this way isn’t acceptable. I only glimpsed the manager at the end of our stay, in his pjs, and there was no manager to be seen during the rest of it, just hiding in the background. Reuben was the exception, looking after us very well and always being respectful. This is 2 star at most, and we won’t be returning.

We booked at the last moment, and the hotel didn’t disappoint. The location is perfect, only 2 mins from the beach, with a bus stop, restaurants, and supermarkets just a stone’s throw away. Our rooms were sparkling clean, and the staff greeted us with a smile and were so friendly. The lady at the pool bar was especially sweet and kind. It was a wonderful experience and worth every penny. We’d definitely return and highly recommend it.
