The rooms weren't especially well styled, though I wasn't expecting luxury inside. What made the stay special was the peaceful setting, the lovely atmosphere, and the scent of the surrounding forest. It's beautifully located, far from the crowds, and ideal for relaxing. I highly recommend it.

It's a lovely spot, but you mainly pay for the location. There's no reception, just an ATM, and the room window is about the size of an A4 sheet. At least there's a ceiling fan to get through the heat, since there's no AC. For the price of a three-star hotel, it feels like a two-star place.

There's not much here beyond the basics, but the location is well worth it if you're on a tight budget and want to enjoy the trails and views. The rooms are above a church. They're very small, as are the showers, though there's a ceiling fan for hot days. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're a larger person or pregnant. It's also not suited to families, people with disabilities or mobility difficulties because there are so many stairs, or large groups.

The patio out front has a gorgeous view, and this is a really special, unusual place. It's a simple boutique-style hotel, up a big hill and right in the middle of the forest. It used to be somewhere church officers stayed. Our room had a ceiling fan but no air conditioning, and the fan did practically nothing. We were there at the start of July, when the days were very hot. It was breezy at night, though my husband had a harder time sleeping than I did. Check-in is at the tiny bodega to the right of the hotel area. They serve cooked breakfast in the morning, but we didn't get to try it. If you can manage without AC, it's worth a visit.
