We’ve enjoyed our stay at this peaceful little campsite, and we’re leaving tomorrow. It’s rustic and fits right into its surroundings, with reasonably spacious pitches as long as you don’t have a monster motorhome. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean and the showers are great, though watch out because the water can get scalding hot. The owner is friendly. It’s a perfect base for walkers and bikers wanting to see the beautiful gorge, including Mirador Des Falaise.

The owner was friendly and helpful with tips for exploring the area, and for us this was the nicest campsite in Spain and Portugal. We spent three nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The open grounds have several separated, level units, and the facilities were very clean and modern, with plenty of hot water in the showers. Birders will have plenty to spot: we saw woodchat strikes, common cuckoos, Iberian magpies, Eurasian Golden Orioles, all three vulture species, plus kites and eagles, especially the booted eagle.

The toilets were clean and the showers really nice, and the staff and owners were friendly. Just don’t leave things lying around your camper or caravan overnight. Wild dogs or foxes took one of my shoes 👟.

Angela was really nice and helpful. She gave us a map and lots of information about things to do nearby. We arrived during a storm, though, and there wasn’t much to do except sit in the van. That’s what can happen when travelling in winter. It’s a really nice campsite in a great location for exploring the area. I’d recommend it and would come back.

We camped with two tents and two motorcycles, and the spot was perfect. I’ve stayed in campsites across 50 countries, and I can’t think of a better place for a quiet retreat while exploring the region. We stayed two nights and went out on both tarmac and off-road routes. It’s in a rural location within a national park, with clean showers and a friendly, helpful family running it. When the small cafe is open, they serve excellent food. Highly, highly recommended.
