The cottage's fireplace made for a welcoming spot, and there are some nice walks down to the lake. We had a good time there.

The village is an easy 15-minute walk, with tapas to eat and a supermarket for picking up wine and cheese before watching the sunset. We stayed one night in a cabin and loved it. From the hilltop, you get a spectacular view of the lake and valley, especially with morning coffee on the private terrace. It has air conditioning and heating, a microwave, TV, fridge, two beds, and a bathroom, everything needed for a few days. The price seemed fair for two and very good for four. The receptionist was nice and helpful.

It’s been closed for a couple of years, sadly, and looks in a very poor state now. I’m not sure whether it’s for sale or belongs to Algar. The lake views are stunning. I hope it opens again soon, and I’ll definitely visit.

The restaurant was spot on, with friendly staff, lovely food, and good prices. The paella was especially good 😉. There are lots of activities, and the views are spectacular.
