The grounds are lovely, and the spa has several options, with the thermal lake a short walk away within the property. The rooms are fairly spacious, but shabby, and the slot that controls the electricity didn’t work, so maintenance had to fix it. There was no water or complimentary item in the minibar. What really needs attention is the hour-long wait at reception before we got a key. That’s a full 60 minutes, with no exaggeration, before we could go and relax. The hotel is crying out for refurbishment, and I can’t see how it earns four stars. Three at best. Breakfast was mediocre too, with mass-produced coffee in big thermal jugs and artificial orange “juice.” It could be a nice place for a couple of days if all you want is the spa. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll stay in nearby Calatayud.

It’s a shame to see such a special place so run down. The hotel needs investment, and it feels overpriced. For outside visitors, the spa service is poor and check-in is confusing, so make sure you arrive at least half an hour before your scheduled time. Paying twenty-one euro just to dip in a lake that isn’t very warm feels ridiculous. As an external guest, I didn’t think it was worth it.

The rooms had rotting wood and moldy walls, yet everything seemed overpriced. I also felt the staff lied to us. Compared with the rest of Spain, this hotel “spa” is a complete rip off. I’d skip it and choose somewhere else to stay. Even the abandoned medieval tower in town might have better rooms.

If you want a standardized hotel, this probably isn’t for you. The whole complex still has its original XIX century design, which makes the place feel real and unique. The staff were nice and helpful, and the waters were great. Such an amazing place to relax and recover. I’d definitely visit.

The room was really, really old. There was no wifi, and the water wasn’t hot during the first 10 minutes of a shower. The restaurant was okay, but really expensive, though breakfast was fine. We had booked a couple massage, but in the end they said there was no room for it. This isn’t a 4 stars hotel.
