8/10
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and my room was cleaned and restocked daily. It was fully furnished with the amenities you'd expect. Pension San José is in a remarkable spot, across the road from one of the town's best bars, with another bar next door. I would have liked a breakfast option, though perhaps that wasn't possible during my visit because a lot of renovation work was going on.

A good, reasonably priced hostal for visiting the hot baths. The beds were warm and the staff friendly.
