Almirante Hotel

From the thoughtful design to the wonderful service and amazing breakfast, this hotel feels much better than its three-star rating. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated, and the mattress was comfortable. It's probably the best place to stay if you want to be just a two-minute walk from the beach. Just wonderful!

The onsite restaurant, Pocardy, was fantastic. Breakfast was well worth paying for, and dinner was delicious. We especially liked their godella wine. We also used the gym, which was convenient, though it could use a bit more equipment. We visited San Juan beach in January, out of season, and the area was lovely and quiet. That also meant some local restaurants and cafés weren't open. The staff were very friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome, and could speak either Spanish or English. Our room was clean and a good size, with a nice balcony that I'm sure would be even better in summer. The mattress was a little hard. The hotel is right by the lovely beach.

The view was astonishing, breakfast was more than great, and the room was spacious and clean. I'd recommend the hotel and would happily stay many more times. The only problem was the older man at check-in, whose hospitality was very poor. After driving for about six hours, I expected a welcoming and helpful reception, but he seemed to make things difficult by refusing every essential request. Miss Cristina from the commercial department sorted out my issues.

We stayed three nights and wished we'd booked longer. The pool was clean and the atmosphere really relaxing. Breakfast had an amazing range, and the restaurant was good too. It seemed like they used fresh products from local suppliers. The staff were super friendly, especially Fernanda, who always had a big smile whether she was working at the pool or serving in the restaurant. The housekeeping was great as well, and the gentleman on the second floor was especially friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, simple, and had everything we needed.
