Casa Rural El Patio

Our stay was very pleasant, and the person who welcomed us and gave us the keys was really friendly and happy to answer questions. The location is central, and both the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. One inconvenience: the website should say that payment is cash only. Most people don’t carry cash these days beyond small expenses, and finding it can be difficult if there isn’t an ATM nearby.

The churros from Churrería Riviera (or La Riviera) left me thinking about their taste more than the place’s name. Casa Rural El Patio is spectacular too, and the old mercury mine is a marvel to see. I’d recommend a surprise getaway here: it’s all nature, and people greet everyone in a village that feels like something from the old days. Even with two rainy days, I thought it was a wonder. I recommend it and will definitely come back.

The rooms and shared spaces were very well equipped and consistently clean. The service was excellent, and the staff were understanding of my situation.

We needed somewhere nearby and affordable to shower and sleep after a performance in Alamillo. It had what we needed: three beds, two showers, two toilets, tiled walls, sheets, towels, and hot and cold running water. There was a microwave and fridge too, though we had nothing to heat or store, so didn’t use them. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy. A perfect stay, five stars, one for each hour we slept.
