Casona Santa Coloma

I rented the apartment for a month while working, and found it in the condition shown in the photos. I'm not especially fussy, but the terrace was enclosed and completely covered in bird droppings. I couldn't even use it to hang up my laundry. I planned to wash clothes by hand because the washing machine was in terrible shape, as the photos show. A few days after I arrived, I was told my job was moving to another province. I spoke with Eduardo, who owns both the company and the accommodation. He said he would work out the cost of the days I'd stayed and refund the rest. A month has now passed without hearing from him. I've called, but he doesn't answer, and he hasn't replied to my WhatsApp messages either. It was a terrible experience, and I won't be back.

We had a lovely stay, though it was hard to leave. As Eduardo says, “you have to leave to be able to return.” We'll definitely come back. It's a shame the restaurant was closed while his wife was away, since he couldn't manage everything by himself. I'd have liked to meet her; if she's anything like Eduardo, she must be wonderful. Best wishes, my friend. La Casona is a beautiful stone building in a peaceful, picturesque spot along the Logroño road. The terrace is a lovely place to linger over a drink, looking out over the courtyard and watching the swallows. Inside, the Casona feels warm and welcoming, and Eduardo makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, and Eduardo's service was impeccable. We had nothing but good things to say about our stay. The location is amazing, and we'll definitely be back.

Eduardo and his wife treated us wonderfully. It's a quiet place where you can rest and have breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
