Hospederia La Era

The town and its ancient Roman ruins surprised us, and we really enjoyed our stay. We slept great on excellent beds, with plenty of pillows in different heights and firmness, plus crisp, high-quality linens and towels. The rooms each have their own decor, inspired by poetry about Cordoba/Andalusia. Meals were tasty and healthy, and every one we had featured a gourmet olive oil. The pool area was very comfortable too, with quality chairs, sofas and beds. We also got excellent tips for activities, restaurants and olive oils. Wonderful stay, highly recommend!

Raul was great at suggesting day trips from Almedinilla and restaurants for our travels around the area. We loved La Bodega just down the hill. The beds were very comfortable, and the pool setup with its day beds was excellent. Raul made a wonderful breakfast and a very tasty dinner, using organic regional food and taking great care with our dietary requirements. We had a great few days at Hospederia La Era. Raul made our three-night stay wonderful, and I hope to return soon. His breakfasts and multi-course dinners were beautiful, with detailed explanations of the local ingredients that helped us understand Andalusian culture. He handled our dietary requirements without any problem. Rooms were extremely tidy and serviced daily, and the facilities were beautiful. Google calls this a 2-star hotel, but that seems wrong to me: I'd give it at least 4 stars for the hotel and 5-star service. Complimentary teas came in a great selection, and local beers, wines and soft drinks were available at reasonable prices. I'd recommend it as a base for exploring local towns or traveling to Cordoba or Granada. Thanks, Raul.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the quiet countryside made for a wonderfully deep sleep. We were welcomed, fed and looked after in friendly luxury at this peaceful little spot among the olive hills. The organic homemade food was delicious. The house is beautifully built, with spacious rooms and thoughtful individual touches. A great base for discovering this lovely region.
