Hotel Embajador

When we got to the hotel, the receptionist immediately said there was no room for us, even though our confirmation email was right in front of him. He kept claiming he had sent us an email to cancel, but we never received anything. This is a SCAM! No money back, nothing at all. The man seemed ready to leave us on the street and didn’t care. Never again.

I came back with my family for five days after first visiting this hotel about 10 years ago. The reception team were great and helpful, and I want to thank them for their good work. The first three days were good and calm, but then young gentlemen staying in nearby rooms for a music festival got very loud, playing music, talking and shutting their door like a garage every five minutes. Reception intervened over the music and door noise, but they can’t fix the sound-permissive walls or noisy doors. That’s a hotel management issue. The main entrance door also makes an awful noise when opened, which we could hear from the first floor, then it slams shut with a BAAM. Nobody did anything about it, though a little WD40 lubricant might have solved it. Room service came in the afternoon, a timing I didn’t appreciate since logically it should happen in the morning when the guest leaves the room, around 10 to 12. The room also lacked cleaning under the bed, which was dirty. Even the low price doesn’t justify that. I hope management responds to the noise problems throughout the hotel.

It was a great experience, and for a 2-star hotel, it exceeded what I expected!

The rooms are a little outdated, but clean and tidy. It’s a nice hotel, the staff are very friendly, and breakfast is good.
