Torreluz Centro Hotel

A really good place to stay for a night when passing through Almeria. Monica at reception was very kind and helpful, and the service was great.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, well located, and run efficiently, and the staff are friendly. But it’s laughable to call the rooms soundproof, as the hotel does. You hear noise from outside as if the windows were wide open, even when they’re shut. Birds outside will wake you, and on weekends people run around outside blasting music until 6 a.m. For some reason, people gather in the middle of all the hotels, nowhere near a bar, and scream. It’s infuriating after you’ve been trying to sleep for hours. You can also hear people talking at the café in the morning while you’re in bed, and guests in the rooms next door and above. People inside run around slamming doors too. There’s no staff in this building, since they’re all at the main hotel. I stayed a week and barely slept. That’s why I’m rating it so low, not because of the service, location, or cleanliness. Maybe earplugs would help, but you’re paying for a hotel room that should be as described. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I’ve stayed here several times. It’s always clean, the staff are friendly, and it’s well located for bars and places to eat.

A good-value hotel right in the city centre, close to the castle and cathedral. The rooms are okay, though the bathrooms are a bit basic. Reception and the breakfast room are in the sister hotel next door. The buffet breakfast is excellent and has a very broad selection. There’s also paid parking despite the central location.
