Paradiso was modern and bright, and the room was fine. Getting it booked was a hassle, though. The hotel's website confirmed our reservation, then said the hotel was full, even though it wasn't. Booking.com showed rooms, but cancelled us an hour before arrival, saying it couldn't bill our bankcard. We went anyway and were able to choose a room. There isn't breakfast at the hotel, and on Monday morning only one bar in town was serving it. They said the pool only opens in July and August. The advertised free parking is a public car park, 350 or 900 metres away depending on which way you come or go. Dinner was tricky too: on Sunday only one restaurant or bar was serving, all the others were shut, and we were the only diners in town.

The courtyard is a real highlight, with coffee, cake, and water available. The place is clean and nicely finished, and there are different kinds of rooms, including ones with baths, which are a must on a long bike tour. There's even a spa bath room if you want a treat. It's a bike-friendly hotel, close to good restaurants and bars in the town centre. A good bike shop is five minutes away by bike or 15 on foot at the south end of town, worth a look even if you don't need anything.

A cheerful, inexpensive little motel in a lovely town, and every room is different. The self-serve breakfast was poor, with not even a coffee machine.
