Pensión El Duque

Going by the reviews, I think I picked the wrong guesthouse, even though the photo matched. There's no pool or restaurant. The “continental breakfast” means paying at the bar next door. What they call a “deep bathtub” is a basin about half a meter high, with no plug to hold the water. They only clean the floor once a day, don't change the pillows or sheets, and there were still stains from previous guests.

I stayed for 15 days last year and had a fantastic time. The smart TV was especially good, the air conditioning worked great, and everything was perfect. I had no complaints at all, and I'm definitely going back in August.

HORRIBLE, PATHETIC. I will never set foot in that guesthouse again. There were spiders and bugs, and I had to shower with my young daughters in freezing water. I brought beach towels because the guesthouse towels were worn out and stained. One electrical outlet was broken, leaving us with just one, and the TV was tiny with only two channels. AWFUL. I don't recommend it.

We had booked a double bed, but it wasn't available. Instead, they offered us a child's bed and charged us extra for it. The damp smell was almost unbearable, and the cleanliness was very poor. They didn't change the sheets or even sweep the floor. The advertised deep bathtubs and flat-screen TV were simply not there, and the facilities are outdated. I could say more, but it's a waste of time.
