Camping Tropical

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed one night while travelling along the coast. The tent camping area had fantastic mountain views, and my pitch was flat and shaded by trees. The bar and cooking area was very pleasant, and there's a recreation and relax room.

For the price, it was decent value, and the staff were friendly. The facilities are good, but the path to the restrooms had very little lighting. The shower stalls could use hooks or somewhere to put your things. Tent sites don't have parking on the pitch, so there's a short walk from your vehicle. It didn't seem as if there were quiet hours, or they weren't enforced. People were very loud in the bar area until about 12:30 am while we were there.

This is a lovely, quirky little site, with owners who are helpful and know loads about the area. It's near the town centre, though you have to cross a busy main road. Getting in and out can be tricky in a medium sized motor home. The pitches have hard standing, are divided, and include electric and water in the price. There's an honesty bar and laundrette. Many of the larger pitches were occupied by long stay campers. On our second visit we ended up parked at the side of the pitches, but still had all the services. A little gem of a site.

The camping owner caught our cat and left him somewhere in the wilderness. I still can't believe it. It's horrible. We stopped searching for him after three months. Goodbye, poor boy. I pray you're safe with people who love you.
