The location is central, though getting there by car is a little tricky. It was clean and tidy, but the staff didn’t speak English. The room and hostal had a marine theme with a big dose of the bad side of the 90s, a bit cheesy. Clean, but a little pricey for the standard.

So far, we’re happy! The staff are very helpful, and the room is as booked. Beer is 1.50, and a 1.5L bottle of water costs the same. The directions on the streets made it difficult to find, but the signs helped.

Dogs are welcome, and the breakfast is good. It’s very close to the seaside, with very clean rooms and friendly staff. The boss, Ignacio, is especially helpful with any requests. The best Hostal in Almunecar, probably the best in Andalusia.

The hostel is good value and just a couple of minutes from Almuñécar beach. One catch is getting there: cars can't reach it, so you'll need to walk. There are paid spaces on the nearby roads, or you can use the free parking about 10 minutes away on foot, near the CENTRO DE SALUD DE ALMUÑECAR, as a hostel worker suggested. Be careful with Google Maps, since it may direct you up to the castle's upper area, which is meant for residents. Head straight to the recommended parking instead.
