Pensión San Marcos

Fine.

There weren't any sockets by the beds, so we could only charge our phones in the bathroom. The beds were really uncomfortable, and covered in short hairs and breadcrumbs that seemed to come from nowhere. On top of that, the door had no latch and kept swinging open on its own, so we had to block it with a chair. We were there as a group for a nearby tournament and slept terribly. I really can't recommend this place.

The room smelled so bad that we had to leave the window open all night, and the cleanliness was practically nonexistent. At dinner, after we arrived at 10:30 pm to get our keys and eat, the waitress kept telling us to hurry because she wanted to go home, even though closing time was 11:30 pm. She was also speaking rudely to every customer, complaining that they'd been there for hours and that she wanted to leave before closing. Breakfast was just as disappointing. We sat down and waited half an hour while she served people who arrived after us. When she finally got to us, she shouted our order from the bar instead of coming to the table, and then never brought the food. We left without breakfast. I'm not giving it fewer stars only because I can't. Very disappointed.

The food was really good and the service was the best. Our whole team stayed here for the Spanish Volleyball Cup, and for a budget stay it was perfect. There was sometimes a faint herbal smell in the hallways at night, but the price and service were 10/10.
