The volunteers are sweet and polite, and the food is great, better than what I’ve had in plenty of restaurants. This is the best shelter I’ve ever seen. They work miracles for people who’ve been left behind, and they deserve all the help they can get.
A month after they asked me to cancel my non-refundable room booking because of technical issues, I’m still trying to get my money back. I told them I’d be charged if I cancelled, but they insisted they would refund me, so I went ahead. They ignored my follow-up questions for a long time, then finally told me to take it up with booking.com. I had to find another hotel at the last minute, paid for a night I couldn’t use, and now have the hassle of chasing the refund. I definitely would NOT recommend booking this place through booking!
A lovely place to relax, share time, make friends and contribute, with enjoyable activities and healthy food served in a community setting. The people are warm and caring, and have always gone out of their way to welcome us. Well worth visiting.
