It was such a cozy, lovely stay. The staff deserve a special mention, they’re available around the clock. When I had trouble with my key at 3 a.m., they sorted it out quickly and were really kind.

We booked by phone, and the owner was attentive and extremely helpful, with useful tips about Altea. The place was tidy and clean, and had a distinctive Spanish decor. The bed was super comfortable. We had a really good experience and will come again.

We won’t be coming back. It felt far too expensive for one night, as if the nearby beach was being used to justify the price. The room was small and dated, apart from the bed. There was barely any space on the old bathroom sink, no drawers for our things, and just one chair for two people. They also try to seem modern by having no staff there to help, so you have to call a number if you need anything. It didn’t feel welcoming at all. I’ve stayed in cheaper guesthouses with much better conditions.
