Hostal Perla Blanca Altea

We stayed peacefully despite being right in the old town, where the evenings are lively. The bay view is breathtaking, and even the beautiful bathroom has that same lovely view. Park in one of the free lots and explore on foot. There are little wonders to discover around this charming Altea rental.

The sea view from our room was fantastic, and the location was perfect. Service was good too, with complimentary water and coffee. Getting there with our suitcases was the hard part: we couldn't find a taxi, the contact person wasn't answering, and we had to haul everything up all those stairs in nearly 40-degree heat. They need to improve this. Anyone arriving by train needs better information, since there seem to be very few taxis and Uber doesn't work.

It feels more like a 5-star hotel than a hostel. The place is lovely, very central, and the service is really good.

Altea isn't a cheap place, especially in the historic centre during peak season, and prices along the coast are what they are. Even so, this was inexpensive compared with the similar places I looked at. The location is ideal, and everything is very clean and new. Highly recommended if you're comfortable with those prices.
