That vegetarian sharing platter was the best vegetarian meal we've ever had. It was beautifully put together, with such a lovely mix of flavors. Honestly, it deserved a Michelin star. The place is also a fabulous base, sitting about halfway up toward the beautiful old town. Everyone was attentive, the wine list was excellent, and the food was amazing. Our highlight from a week along this coastline. 😎😁

We had a lovely room called Merlot, with a huge terrace and a great view. The hotel itself is a small gem between the old and new town, in a really handy spot. Dinner and service were just as good as the staff, and we loved sitting on the shaded outdoor terrace. I'd happily recommend La Costera Hostal del Vino and would love to come back.

Getting there with luggage takes a bit of planning. You can stop at the bottom of the hotel stairs to unload, then move the car to the big free parking area 400 meters away. Once you're settled, the location is ideal for exploring Altea. The restored hostel, wine bar, and restaurant are lovely, with a cozy terrace and welcoming interior. Our room was nicely decorated, quiet, spotless, and inviting. Breakfast was a treat too: coffee, water, fresh-squeezed orange juice, cut tropical fruit, and a warm croissant, plus a long list of egg dishes and a few other choices.

COSTERA hostal was a real find for our couple of days in Altea. Our balcony room was clean and very comfortable, with a beautiful view, and breakfast was really good. We ate dinner at the restaurant as well and loved it. Highly recommended!

Little touches throughout the stay made it feel memorable and premium. Breakfast was great, and the location puts you right in the old town center, just a two-minute walk from the main church on the hill. Such a charming place. Thanks, I'd definitely stay again!
