SH Villa Gadea Hotel

We haven't been to the spa yet, but we do plan to go. After this phone experience, I'm curious to see what the place and the staff are like in person. I hope management sees this and responds, because this situation really needs attention. I called to ask if we could use the spa without staying overnight. The employee said we could, but when I asked about the price and conditions, she told me to look at the website. I'd already checked and couldn't find the information there, so I asked her to explain it by phone. She said she'd have to look it up and call back. Fifteen minutes went by without a call, so I phoned again and got another woman. I eventually worked out that there are two websites, one for the hotel and one for the spa. The employee hadn't mentioned that; I figured it out and asked if there might be separate sites. The details were on the spa site, but since I was already on the phone, I wanted answers to my questions directly instead of being sent elsewhere. She did answer me, though she didn't sound willing to help. She spoke so fast that I couldn't take notes, even after I told her I was writing things down. My accent made it clear I was a foreigner, but I was trying to speak Spanish properly. It was my first call and all of this was new to me, so she should have explained it more slowly and with more friendliness. She knew the details already; I was hearing them for the first time, and the call felt unpleasant. The whole exchange was handled badly. Sending someone to the website when they're calling for information comes across as rude, and it's surprising that a spa employee didn't know the price. It left me thinking the staff might not enjoy their work or care about giving good service. A place in such a prestigious setting, apparently aimed at high-income clients, shouldn't feel so superficial. I'm very surprised.
