The stairway was so poorly lit that I fell and got injured. That’s a serious safety hazard, not a small inconvenience, and it could easily cause significant harm. I also felt there was little urgency or concern afterward, with no accountability or reassurance that anything would be done. The place seemed badly maintained and careless about guest safety. I can’t recommend staying here while basic issues like the lighting remain unfixed. One of my worst hotel experiences.

The staff were friendly, and I liked the little window down at floor level. The hotel is right in the town center and has a very antique feel. My bed, though, wasn’t very comfortable.

The place itself is good, but the administration was bad. We rented the whole hotel for Christmas to be together as a family, and this was our third time there. Every visit, something has gone wrong: a fire at a neighbour’s place, the heating not working, or doors that wouldn’t open. We contacted the renter, but got no solution at first. The owner was eventually informed and fixed the problems. Still, we spent two hours out on the street, another two without heating, and five unable to get into a room. When we complained that there could have been a baby inside, since we’d only just shut the door before putting the baby in, she laughed.

The rooms are quite noisy and really dark. We were stuck in town for two days, though, and the staff were very helpful and did a lot for us.
