A nice place for a short or medium-length stay.

I've stayed in plenty of hostels, and this was the worst. The courtyard is the one redeeming feature. The rooms are cramped, the bathrooms inadequate, and there are only two tiny common areas. The food was another problem. Breakfast was the only thing that was edible, and there was just one option. If you didn't like it, too bad. The chicken on the first night was dry, and the dinner potatoes were hard. My daughter couldn't eat the dessert, so we asked for yogurt or custard. They said they hadn't brought anything else, but then we saw them give yogurt to another girl. The next dinner was no better, just soup and a dry, burnt hamburger. Today we got spaghetti and something that looked like fish but was inedible. The cooks were appalling to deal with. They made it feel as if we had to apologize for being there. I feel bad for Roger, who was doing his best, but he couldn't handle everything alone.

The little bookstore was a lovely surprise, with great books for all ages and a few games, just enough to keep both the kids and us occupied for a while. The staff were attentive, the food was very good, and they have a crib or bed rails for little ones. They also work around meal times. We had a great weekend at the Albergue de Poblenou and will definitely return.

The workers were a 10, so kind and keen to make you feel at home, and the location is great. The common areas were good, though our room wasn't as nice and smelled very musty even with the window open all day. It was a lovely town for switching off, with really nice restaurants. We'll be back!

It's a small hostel with a lovely atmosphere, and I'd definitely stay again. The food was excellent, and the shared bathrooms stayed spotless. We didn't have hot water all week because of a problem. The hostel is well placed for enjoying the Ebro Delta. The rooms were clean and had air conditioning and mosquito nets, though they were a bit run down.
