Historical house Mallorca pool wifi aircon/heat sleeps 12-14

We came for a special birthday party, and the place worked really well for the occasion. You have to book the entire facility, which has four double rooms and two suites. There’s lots of parking and it’s easy to get in and out. The gardens are huge, with a fantastic 16-metre pool. Check the catering arrangements beforehand, as we brought our own food. Guests could come and go over the few days of the open house. The estate is on the rural edge of Andratx, about a three-minute drive from the Port. The building dates back to the 14th century and still has traces of its history, including the olive press and signs of how its automation changed over time.

The finca is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but the management and charges made the stay a bad experience. Some fees, including cleaning and hosting, were mentioned upfront, but more money was added later without a clear explanation. Cleaning was quoted at €600, then another €165 was added without notice. The €1,500 hosting fee had been mentioned at first, but still seemed excessive and poorly justified. We were also charged €375 for electricity without any estimate or usage tracking being shared, and €200 for supposedly missing towels, with no proof or proper discussion. The manager was mostly unavailable, slow to reply and showed little interest in communicating clearly or professionally. There was no effort to explain the charges or sort things out transparently. It’s a shame, because the property itself is great, but the lack of honesty and support ruined the experience.

There’s potential here, but the place needs more care and attention to detail. It’s a little away from the town centre, there’s no dining on site, and breakfast wasn’t anything special. We were unlucky enough to be “upgraded” to a suite, so check the heating and hot water if that happens. It was 14 degrees indoors and we only had cold water. Not a pleasant stay.

The room was very rustic, though the bed was excellent. My wife and two other guests got upset stomachs, so I can’t recommend the food or dining experience. The Wi-Fi didn’t feel secure, and all my booking email details mysteriously disappeared. On New Year’s Eve, the log fire in the dining room wasn’t lit, which didn’t help.
