The food was good and the price reasonable. The shower was great, and although the bathroom was small, no big deal. Rooms are clean. Hostal Tarres is fairly basic, sure, but when I arrived after biking down from the mountains, they immediately put my bike in a locked garage next door and had a cool room ready. Great hospitality.

After a full day biking, the room was great and the rooftop terrace was amazing for relaxing. We’d had a bad experience and nowhere to sleep, so we called them. They were available and found us a safe spot for the bikes. There are plenty of places around to have a beer or dinner. I’d definitely go back if I’m staying nearby.

I definitely can't recommend this place. We'd agreed with the hotel that we would arrive later, but when we got there we couldn't get in touch with anyone. Eventually they stopped answering the phone, so we had to sleep in the car. Such a lovely welcome to Spain...

The location is great for visiting Girona or Figueres, and there’s a large parking area 50 m behind the hotel. I assume it’s included in the price since we weren’t charged extra to use it. We had a very nice stay at hotel Tarres. The hosts were welcoming and spoke very good English.
