I came away with mixed impressions. This is a wonderful, cozy place, very beautiful and ideal for nature lovers who want to get away from city life. The television signal could be improved, and Wi-Fi added to the last cabins.

We spent four nights in a rustic chalet or bungalow with a group. The grounds were large, and parking was easy. After walking, the pool was a lovely place to cool off in the afternoon, though it was unheated and definitely 'refreshing.' The welcome was warm, and we enjoyed good breakfasts before setting off each day. Aracena is about a kilometre uphill on foot, and it's a great town with a fantastic patisserie, established in 1875.

The restaurant is really a pool bar, and the food was nowhere near the standard of good Spanish cooking. There was nothing local, and the chef seemed to have forgotten what it means to cook with passion. I complained about a dish that looked and tasted like a ten-year-old flip flop, but was told and charged as if that was simply how it's cooked in Spain. I was disgusted then and still am. The place could be so much better, but the qualities that make hospitality a joy are missing. Yes, it's clean and it's a kind of B&B, but it isn't worth the visit, and even one star feels generous. You can find much better for your money.

It was very peaceful, a great place to relax, with a nice room and a great bed with a warm, comfortable cover. Some things are dated, like the old television. The restaurant wasn't open, though there are several good choices in town. Mobile data and Wi-Fi were both really poor, basically no reception.
