Holiday Inn Express Pamplona by IHG

We ended up moving the bed against another wall because our neighbor’s snoring came through so clearly. You can hear people walking, talking, showering, and using the toilet. The soundproofing is really poor, and it seriously affected how comfortable the stay was. The hotel itself is fine and pretty standard, with no major complaints otherwise. If you care about a quiet room and a good night’s sleep, keep this in mind when choosing it.

The mandatory 12 euro breakfast makes the cost about 15% higher than the amount shown on Google Maps. The rooms are okay, though I could hear quite a bit of noise from the neighbors. At reception, the person was friendly, but seemed to speak only Spanish and didn’t greet me when I came in a second time. The hotel is in an industrial area, and the trash on a nearby plot adds to a rather desolate feel. It’s good enough for one night, but not much more. In general, it meets the standards for this class of hotel.

The rooms were clean and good, with a modern TV, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. There’s plenty of parking, though it felt a little unsafe, perhaps because I arrived late on a dark, rainy evening. The hotel is easy to reach and of nice quality, but the signage was a bit vague.

The staff were professional, friendly, and great, and breakfast was good. The hotel is clean and well thought out, the sort of place you’d expect from many Holiday Inn hotels around the world. It’s in a large shopping mall area, but easy to get to by taxi, car, or public transport. We’d love to come back.
