Hotel Restaurante Gbc Isape

The restaurant is great for pilgrims, with good food at reasonable prices right in the hotel. The staff were fantastic. My room was comfortable, though a little small, and my shower had hot water. There was very little noise.

I had to unplug the TV to charge anything because the basic room had just one outlet. There was no AC, and the tub was tiny, with only little packets of shower gel. When I asked the front desk to call a restaurant and check it was open, they refused, saying that if Google listed it as open, it would be. It was actually closed because the staff were on holiday. I wish they’d called before we walked there in the rain.

The included breakfast was pretty nice, but it didn’t start until 8am, which makes an early Camino start difficult if you want to eat first. Our room was tiny, with barely enough space for two people and our luggage. There were only two small body wash packets in the bathroom, hardly enough for one person. It suited us for a short one-night stay, but this was probably my least favorite place of the six days we walked. A pretty basic hotel.

The front desk wasn’t helpful when we were exhausted Camino pilgrims looking for an open restaurant. The rooms were small and bare, with thin walls, lots of noise, no AC and just one outlet. The sample sachets of soap and shampoo weren’t enough for a shower, and the hot water was unreliable.
