A good place to stop on a long drive. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the menu del día was nicely priced. It has a pleasant, traditional Spanish feel.

I’m English and live nearby, and I’ve eaten at the hotel Escua restaurant a few times before. My latest visit was a real culinary delight. The dishes are far better than you might expect from a two star hotel, and the staff were friendly. I can’t praise the food enough, definitely worth a visit! 😊

There were flies swarming around, which made it a bit hard to eat. The food was good, and so was the service, but I didn’t like being charged a service fee per person without being told in advance. I understand they’re allowed to charge it, but it came as a surprise, and I’m not a fan of surprises.

The staff were helpful and easy to approach. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and presentable, and breakfast options were available at reasonable prices. It’s a beautifully rustic, authentic place among old olive groves running up and down the mountain. At the top there’s a church, once turned into a mosque and then back into a church, with an amazing history. You wake to roosters and chickens.
