The setting was beautiful and secluded, with the views and surroundings we’d hoped for, and the house itself is stunning. But the facilities made the stay difficult. We left earlier than planned and booked a hotel at the last minute because it wasn’t the relaxing break we’d pictured. The heater inside worked only sporadically, so we were cold more than once. The shower had only a thin stream of water, and the bathroom was freezing. The owner said he hadn’t known about the shower issue, though earlier reviews had mentioned it. The bed sagged noticeably, and we could have used a few more towels. There was also a very strong perfume smell throughout, from the living room to the bedrooms. It felt like it might be covering some other issue, though that’s just how it came across to us, and it gave us headaches at times. The jacuzzi was amazing, but it takes a while to heat, so turn it on well ahead of time. With some improvements, and perhaps less air freshener, the place could be a real gem. As it is, it wasn’t quite the escape we wanted. ☹️

The bubble tents are lovely inside, and the views of sunset, stars, and sunrise are fantastic. My partner and I loved the place. It’s so peaceful, a great spot to switch off with a partner or friends, and the whole site is wheelchair accessible, which surprised me since adapted campsites can be hard to find. There’s a fully equipped kitchen at reception, and the receptionist was really friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come back in summer!

The host was always approachable, friendly, and attentive, making sure we had what we needed. It’s a good base for relaxing or exploring the area and doing outdoor activities. El Refugio del Indio is quiet and surrounded by lovely scenery, with carefully maintained facilities. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and had everything we needed. Definitely an experience worth repeating, highly recommended.

We stayed somewhere so quiet that all we could hear was nature. It was exactly the break we needed, and we left feeling rested and grateful. From our first minute, the reception staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, and made us feel at home. Refugio del Indio is beautifully looked after, spotless, and full of thoughtful details. It has a kind of wild luxury, tied to nature. The decorated area by the viewpoint was incredible, and every corner showed lovely taste and care. We’d absolutely come back. Thank you for making such a special place!
