The rooftop terrace was lovely, and our room was just as impressive, with loads of space and a huge opening window looking out at an amazing view. The staff were so enthusiastic and greeted us with a drink and ice lollies. One of the best places I’ve stayed. I’d happily recommend it.

The owner sends useful directions after booking, and you’ll want them for the narrow, confusing streets. We left the car in the underground parking at the plaza, got a discount through the B&B, then took a taxi the rest of the way for 6 Euros. The place sits high on the cliffs above the river and monastery, and our lovely room was near the terrace. The king-sized bed was comfortable, and the bath was better than I expected in an older building. One of our favorite stays in Andalusia.

The room and roof terrace both had fantastic views, and it’s a beautiful house. The welcome from Esmeralda was disappointing, though. We’d shared our arrival time twice that day, but still waited on the street for nearly half an hour because she was late. The honesty bar is a nice idea, but it only had a mediocre €1 rosé, sold for €4. It’d be great to see a couple of decent white and red wines there. A decent stay overall, just with room to improve.

We had a great stay, especially in the top-floor apartment, which is a lovely way to take in the place. The view was amazing, and our host was friendly and helpful, including with recommendations for good places to eat. We highly recommend it.

We were in one of the White Towns apartments on the top floor, with a terrace where we could enjoy drinks and an amazing view over the lake. Breakfast was great too. The nearby roosters will do their best to get you up in the morning. Honestly, it’s kind of charming.
