Sercotel AB Arganda

For a four-star hotel, this felt more like a two-star motel. The rooms were very small, and the Ethernet sockets in the room didn't work. There was no duvet cover, just sheets over and under the duvet, so hygiene felt like zero. The coffee machine at reception wasn't working, leaving only the minibar or the lobby vending machine for drinks.

The bedroom walls aren't soundproof, so I got to hear my neighbours' phone calls and snoring. Breakfast was fine, perfectly acceptable, but nothing special. The hotel has good motorway access, and the staff were friendly. Nice place.

It was an okay stay overall. The bathroom's black mould could easily have been cleaned with strong chlorine. At breakfast, we were told to microwave the cold scrambled eggs, which I've never experienced before, certainly not at a four-star hotel.

The breakfast was extremely basic, and the service from the woman there was rude and unhelpful. When we pointed out that the scrambled eggs were cold and asked if there were warmer ones, she took the leftovers and heated them in the microwave. I've never seen that before. I complained that scrambled eggs shouldn't be served that way, and she said there was no kitchen and the eggs came prepared like that. It was disgusting and shocking. The hotel was noisy too: we could hear people talking and walking in the corridors, as well as cars outside. One of our door cards didn't work, and the room wasn't very modern. This claims to be a four-star hotel, but to me it's a two-star hotel.
