The photos give you a good idea of the place. Just keep in mind that at high tide, most of the sand disappears under the water.

There’s plenty of room on this big beach to settle in among the umbrellas. Watch the tide, though, because it reaches quite high. A smaller, harder-to-reach beach nearby is much quieter, and you can snorkel there.

It’s a beautiful setting, but the way it’s managed is awful. In summer the beach gets packed, and traffic around it is left unchecked. At the busiest times, cars park in marked spaces or even drive along the promenade. Leave your beach chair to swim and someone may be sitting in it when you get back. There’s also a glass recycling bin in the middle of the pedestrian path by the beach exit, while hotels and restaurants have pushed their outdoor seating well into pedestrian areas.

Bohín beach is right beside this one, in the town of Isla, with restaurants and other amenities close by. There’s public parking behind town, though you’ll need to find an open spot, and it’s only a short walk from there. There’s also a promenade. I’m really bothered that dogs aren’t allowed.
