That bacon baguette was so good I’m hungry just thinking about it! We also got drinks, and the staff were fine about us ordering at the counter since they don’t take orders at terrace tables. We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t speak to the rooms, though I saw plenty of people in their 20s and 30s going in and out. It’s on a busy road, about a five-minute walk from both town and the beach.

The hotel is well placed for getting around Cantabria, with many popular spots about a 90-minute drive away. It has a family-run feel, and the staff are friendly and attentive to guests’ needs. The rooms and breakfast are well looked after, and the local food is delicious if you eat lunch or dinner there.

We’ve been coming to Isla for years but only tried dinner here for the first time now. The service and food were wonderful. My wife’s fillet steak was the best she’s ever had, and we live in Spain. Highly recommended.

The place was peaceful, spotless, and the beds were really comfortable. We were travelling with little kids and had picked bunk beds, but the mother and daughter running the place kindly offered to move us to a different room. Breakfast was spectacular, with generous helpings and lots of choice. Coffee came in a traditional pot, with old-fashioned teapots, and the service was so friendly. We felt very comfortable and would gladly return when we're in the area. Thanks so much for everything.
